Pride Month, celebrated in June, honors the LGBTQ+ community by commemorating the 1969 Stonewall Uprising, celebrating diverse identities, and advocating for equality and acceptance through parades, events, and education, recognizing both progress made and ongoing struggles for rights and visibility worldwide. It's a time for amplifying LGBTQ+ voices, celebrating culture, and remembering those lost to violence and HIV/AIDS, fostering a message of being unapologetically oneself.
CKF aims to use Pride month to remind members of the LGBTQ+ community that the HOPE Act made it possible for HIV positive individuals to become organ donors.
