World Marrow Donor Day (WMDD) is held globally on the third Saturday of September (Sept 20, 2025) to thank donors and raise awareness, while November is National Marrow Awareness Month, a broader effort to encourage people to join the stem cell registry and support patients needing transplants for diseases like leukemia. These initiatives highlight the critical need for diverse donors to find matches for patients who don't have family donors.
